This song is mostly aimed at Ronnie.

"And when you know there's nothing left, You're gonna run like all the rest. Take your bags and turn your back from all the friends you had left."

This part is talking about how he screwed up and almost ruined the band.

This part is saying that now the band is more dedicated than ever, and they're not giving up ever.

This part is very interesting what really gave away what the song is truly about. If you've seen the messages between Ronnie & Max, They were very sour at one point. I'll use quotes. Ronnie actually said " Escape the fate is ME, and will ALWAYS be ME. And YOU will forever live in MY shadows. " This explains why they're drowning his ego by becoming an even better band than before. Max then replied by saying "YOU WERE NEVER THE BAND, PERIOD.....YOUR A LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND...." Which explains the line "You're a legend no one knows". "until the day i forget your name" is explained closest with this excerpt from Max "ILL NEVER LIVE IN YOUR SHADOW AND I WOULD NEVER WANT TO, I DONT RESPECT YOU AND I DONT ADMIRE OR LOOK UP TO YOU IN THE LEAST BIT OF ANY WAY."

Yeah so in my opinion. This song was written by Max primarily and is aimed directly at Ronnie saying "We're better than ever without you"

Great job on these lyrics but there's a couple things i found wrong.

And When you know there's nothing [Left] (add left to that part)

"In a pool of summer shame" should be "In a pool of sorrow and shame"

as for the question marks.... i'm just as lost as you are lol

i don't hate the new album or craig but if this is about a ronnie, then fuck it.

And, as for the meaning, as JP said it's definietly aimed at Ronnie. And, honestly, I don't want to start some ~ Ronnie war or whatever but it makes sense that they're kind of angry at him. He was kind of arrogant and rude to the band. In spite of his amazing vocals he wasn't really anything.

Yes, this song is obviously about Ronnie. I like both Ronnie and Craig and think they both brought something unique to Escape the fate.

However,

Ronnie Fucked up. Big time, and the band did what they had to do by replacing him. There was stuff said on both sides and it turned into a big deal. There is no love lost between Ronnie and the band, so obviously there were some bad feelings and they did what artists do, put it into their work. To say 'fuck this song' if its about Ronnie, then you're not really listening to the music.
