Fireworks At Dawn Lyrics
Fireworks at dawn, as I sit for assistance.
This flask keeps me calm, it reflects back my bent image
of someone who's lost, getting older by the minute.
Laugh lines are like growing scars; someday they will be finished.
I've got so many places that I wanna see.
And I've got so many faces that I wanna be.
So get on your feet, wipe the dirt off and get with it.
Destiny waits at your door
(all wrapped up with ribbon).
It's time to move on, cause the past can't be your passion...
So what if you did something wrong?
Find someone who hasn't.
I've got so many places that I wanna see.
And I've got so many faces that I wanna be.
This flask keeps me calm, it reflects back my bent image
of someone who's lost, getting older by the minute.
Laugh lines are like growing scars; someday they will be finished.
And I've got so many faces that I wanna be.
Destiny waits at your door
(all wrapped up with ribbon).
It's time to move on, cause the past can't be your passion...
So what if you did something wrong?
Find someone who hasn't.
And I've got so many faces that I wanna be.

This is all done by ear. Corrections heavily welcomed.
I'm pretty sure its "Life lines are like growing scars; someday they will be finished." At least, that's what makes sense to me.

I love the guitar in this song. Can't wait to get the whole album.
If you understand the meaning of the whole cd you will understand this song.
The meaning of this album is to forget about the past, change who you are, change into who you really are, take those chances, make memories.
Now since this song is first, you can understand that they are in the low pit of their life, they want to make this change. So they are saying how they are going to get out of this rut, and do/see everything and everyone they wanted to. amazing cd.
(i will probably comment on all the songs going in order of the cd, and explaining the story to the best of my ability)
This is what I hear:
Fireworks at dawn as I sip for assistance. This flask keeps me calm, it reflects back my bent image of someone who's lost, getting older by the minute. Laugh lines are like growing stars, someday they will be finished.
I've got so many places that I wanna see. And I've got so many faces that I wanna be.

Those are the correct lyrics from the lyric booklet in the album. I also agree with "take this chance", i think the song is about starting over and forget about the past. Basically just look forward and not backward.
great song basically the person still wants to do all of this stuff like great stuff but since he is clinged on to his pass he cant really move on. he keeps remembering and that doesnt allow him to change. and yea the whole cd is about changing for who u really are. like in the song ali for cody he says he "keeps tripping over the same steps" so basically hes the reson he cant change. well thats my interpretation =]
I love this song as an opener. "...someone who's lost, getting older by the minute..." is a feeling I'm sure people experience sometimes, especially kids in college and beyond, when you look on TV and all around you and see kids younger than you doing big things. Although the song has some pretty negative undertones, it has a pretty uplifting message.
wow, I finally get it. I love this freaking song and I've been listening to it now for what, 6 months, but it took this long to really catch the underlying meaning of the title. Fireworks at Dawn - celebration as the day begins - a celebration of a new beginning. I never really considered exactly what that meant, and it means so much, at least to me. It's nice to have a mouthpiece for my feelings, these guys are so great.

I think the third line of the chorus is "Accept you've moved on cause the past can't be your passion." That's what I hear anyways.
