Sum of 1 Lyrics

you say i'm only
one of many that fails to see
your eyes are my eyes
look upon these wounded skies
this heart is your heart
beating for you and never stop

how do we stop this again?
the first cut sharp and stinging
how do we stop this happening?
lines drawn and so it begins

all the love in the world
you can say that you never had
to take a life from the world
can't justify and don't understand

i cant believe no one has commented on this song yet! i always find that when u get a new album, i always fall in love with one song last, but end up loving it more. this was deffinently it. of course i love the classics more, but you know, still a deep song.

i think that its about someone killing themsleves. a bit heavy, but still good. and i think that there might be two different people singing in it? the other person sings the first verse, then the lead singer comes in with "all the love in the world you can say that you never had". i love his voice.... it takes me to another place....

at first listen, i thought that i was about abortion..but yeah your interpretation is better lol

yet again. I think this is another song where you cannot simply look at the lyrics and feel the meaning explicitly making itself known. Like all abstract pieces of art, you have to take into account every color and stroke of the brush that makes a mark; all the strokes that contribute to the final piece we hear audibly. The lyrics are but a preclude to the meaning. i think the second verse is the singer responding to the actions of the person he refers to in the first one. "How do we stop this happening again?

In the second verse he (singer) narrates the actions of the person succumbing to the inevitable:

"The first cut sharp and stinging. How do we stop this happening? The Lines drawn and so it begins."
"All the love in the world can you say that you never had. Can't justify and don't understand..."

The song is about suicide and the innocent soul that insufficiently understands what their actions will mean to those who care... the after effects of such an act...

i think its about a abortion, it to me is like he's talking to a girl begging her to not do it, but she does.
