Fifteen Words Lyrics

Bright eyes reflect the morning sun
She wakes so lost for love
So scared she'll never find someone
So scared she'll never be enough

One piece of paper, fifteen words
She writes in perfect hand
You give in till you've given up
And you are sure to find the perfect man

Ba da da da (x4)

That smile, sketched and painted
All the hurt so wared and faded
Search for love, she sat and waited
Tried her hardest to forsake it
Is she an angel or a fly far too close to a flame
Either way her wings will burn
Unless she learns to turn and fly away

Oh no, we're here again
Oh no, we're here again

Ooh (x5)

Ba da da da (x4)

One piece of paper can be heavier then any weight
With words that hold their heavy heart
A map that seems to keeps her in one place
That's how she walks the world
And how the world walks over her
She gives until she's given up
She gives up all the love that she deserves

Oh no, we're here again
So close, so near the end
We joke and we pretend
But we know

Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh (x17)

no comments? well i'm not sure the whole meaning but it seems to be about a girl who is searching for love and keeps getting rejected... the middle verse starting with "her smile sketched and painted..." i dont think was written write, because i took the last two lines as "either way her wings will burn, unless she learns to turn and fly away" and i thought that was an allusion to the story of Icarus... the boy who flew too high and his wings melted so those lines would mean that this girl needs to come back to reality and stop looking for love at such high standards

also the last verse is very touching, "how she walks the world and how the world walks over her" he's not just warning about setting standards too high, but how her high hopes make her vulnerable

I'm pretty sure the second verse is

Is she an angel or a fly far too close to a flame Either way her wings are burnt, unless she learns to turn and fly away.

A sad song. I agree with summerpenguin I think it's about a girl who is searching for love but just can't seem to find it find it.

However, I feel like the piece of paper their refering too is her suicide note, which is why the fifteen words are so significant. And the end it appears as though shes commited suicide. "So close, so near the end/We don't and we pretend/But we know"

She gave until she gave up. And now she's with the perfect man.

I was thinking the fifteen words were "You give until you've given up, and you are sure to find a perfect man." They also seem to be in a perfect spot in the phrase for them to be so.

I agree that it's about a love bound girl, probably from the perspective of the boyfriend she has just left.
