City Lyrics

Let's watch it burn
Let's watch it burn
Let's watch this city burn the world

Let's watch this city burn
From the skylines the top the world
Til there's nothing left of her
Let's watch this city burn the world

My body doused in ash
With two empty cans of gas
The only evidence they have
Is the police sketch of my mask
And its hard at times to ask
If you can save my heart for last

And its hard to face the facts
When the darkness fades to black
It's not just make believe
When they make me take a seat
And they put amphetamines
In the air and make me breathe

So come on and grab your children
Look out for burning buildings
And villains who pillage
They're killing by the millions
And billions of people die
For a lost cause

So now I pray for my nation
Destroyed under god

(It's the end of the world)
All my battles have been won
But the war has just begun

Let's watch this city burn
From the skylines on top the world
Till there's nothing left in her
Let's watch the city burn the world

The city looks so pretty
Do you wanna burn it with me?
Till the skies bleed ashes
And the fuckin' skyline crashes

It catches with matches
ignites the flame
And all the hopes of the youth
Deemed fuckin' insane

Take the pill
In god we trust
Go and kill
God loves us
As in life as in death
Breathing till there is no breath

I will not die in the night but in the light
Of the sun with the ashes
Of this world in my lungs

But who am I to say
Lets all just run away
Go grab your saints and pray
We're gonna burn this world today

(It's the end of the world)
As in heaven as on earth
We've been dead since our birth

Let's watch this city burn
From the skylines on top the world
Till there's nothing left in her
Let's watch the city burn the world

(Let's watch it burn) [Repeat: x2]
This city looks so pretty
Do you wanna burn it with me?
This city looks so pretty
Do you wanna burn it with me?
This city looks so pretty
Do you wanna burn it with me?

We use the trees as torches
(Do you wanna burn it with me?)
Flood the streets with corpses
(Do you wanna burn it with me?)
We'll watch the city fuckin bleed
(Do you wanna burn it with me?)
And Bring the world to its knees
(Do you wanna burn it with me?)

Let's watch this city burn
From the skylines on top the world
Til there's nothing left in her
Let's watch this city burn the world

Let's watch this city burn
(Let's watch it burn)
From the skyline on top the world
(Let's watch it burn!)
Til there's nothing left in her
Let's watch this city burn the world

Let's watch it burn
Let's watch it burn
Let's watch this city burn the world

Watch things burn to ash Go through empty cans of gas The only evidence they have Is the police sketch of my mask And its hardly time to ask If you can save my heart for last

The Correct Lyrics are

"Body doused in ash" "with two empty cans of gas" The only evidence they have Is the police sketch of my mask And its "hard at times" to ask If you can save my heart for last

And on this part

"Take the pill And go get drunk And go get killed Double dose Acid lines, acid dust "

I'm not sure what it says but I know its not "go get drunk"

it sounds something like "let go of trust" or something similar

and I dont think he says "double dose" either, but I have no idea what he could be saying.

anybody agree with me on any of that?

You are right. I thought I heard something extra. But give this guy some credit. There are people like hollywood undead who make it impossible to hear the lyrics.

On the part "Take the pill And go get drunk And go get killed Double dose Acid lines, acid dust"

he says "Take the pill, in God we trust, Go and kill, God loves us. As in life, as in death breathing till there is no breath"

Does anyone else think this could be about terrorism?

"The only evidence they have Is the police sketch of my mask"

This could mean a mask worn by a suicide bomber, rather than referring to their own masks.

There's also a load of lines about God being with them and civilians dying.

"Lets watch this city burn From the skylines on top of the world"

This line could be about terrorists watching what they have done from heaven; what they might feel would be there reward for what they've done...

Let me know what you think. Love this song, it's so thought provoking.

@FullMetalGlory does sound like it maybe arson

This is one of my favourite songs by Hollywood Undead, mainly because they're not talking about fucking bitches and what not.

i see the world already burning if ya'll don't see it than ya'll r blind cause we r the ones making it burn with over population and manufacturing if we aren't doing tht eventually the world will end death 2 everyone on earth. cause ya'll all know everyone dies eventually so without someone burning the world we r still burning it am i rite or am i rite yes i know im discouraging do u think i care fuck life cause i feel hatred and i hated so say wat u want about me cause i don't care bitches and faggots im emo most of ya'll r 2 so y'all know wat im talkin bout faggots and bitches emos we cut 2 feel alive or for other reasons rite so life ends either way so death 2 all human beings. :'(

I hope you're a troll. Otherwise, you have serious misanthropy issues. And spelling issues.

I see your point and agree. But the difference is I burn with amusement. It makes it so much more........ cruel-ly fun. And I keep my grammar as good as possible.

Also: Don't Be Emo! Be a monster. It's so fun! And the same principles are there, just twisted.

I don't see the point in your comment

Nobody gives a shit. So, next time, keep your stupid, atrocious grammar and spelling to yourself

I believe the go get drunk line is actually in god we trust.

The double dose line sounds more like all else is us.

it is.

I feel this song is about the war.

"Let's watch this city burn from the skylines on top of the world. Let's watch this city burn the world"

What I get from that line is the "city" may be Washington D.C. since that is where the governmental body is and that's where our decisions our made to go to war or "burn the world" And the line about "the skylines on top of the world" might be a reference to how the U.S. tends to regard itself so highly and so much better than other countries. Or also it could be saying how the U.S. is always involved in other countries affairs so we are the "skyline" of the world.

o come on and grab your children Look out for burning buildings And villains, who pillage They kill them by the millions And billions of people die For a lost cause So now I pray to my nation That's destroyed under God (It's the end of the world) All my battles have been won But the war has just begun

This verse seems to reiterate the war theme. The lines "So now I pray to my nation That's destroyed under God" could possibly be a hint of another World War

"All my battles have been won but the war has just begun" Could be talking about how our "war on terror" is finished but just in time for other countries to attack us.

That's may take on it, anyone else agree or have any other ideas or elaborations?

I agree with the theory that this song is talking about L.A. They name of the city means 'City of Angels'. HU made this to probably show that is not true.

What I think of when I hear this song, I think of the band members are in L.A., but it is burning. There is chaos, as people are running everywhere, firemen are trying to put out the fires, but they won't go out. Near the end, an angel appears, touching the city, and everything appears normal, but it is a warning to the people of the city. The glamorous life isn't always glamorous.

I think this song is about the end of the world.

Anyone agree with me?

stop posting lyric corrections we already gots enough.

I think that this is about how the world is trying 2 becum better at everything material and while doing that screwing itself all otherwhise. like that other guy siad up there, gangs, drugs alchohol are all a cause of big ancy CEO's making money and caring less. Also its porbably saying that we should go to those big buildings and burn them down so the company can go through what an average big city civilain goes thru and they wake up and actually care a lil.

My Interpretation

I believe its about how humans are today, and the youth ins't any better. That we have to burn it all down to start over.
