** The 7 years reference in this lyric is NOT connected to the song by the same name. Anthony has performed the song changing it to EIGHT years and NINE years since, it's clearly the time since they've been together.

the first few times, it sounds like he's saying "she used to love me", then it says "she still loves me" as if trying to tell himself that. like wanting there to be hope even when she's gone. hope that she'll come back to him.

I love this song. It's obviously about this girl he loves, and the girl still has that effect on him that gives him the butterflies-can't-breathe-heart-pounding-fast after so many years. It's lovely.
