On A Good Day Lyrics
Little bit lost and...
A little bit lonely
Little bit cold here
A little bit feared
But I hold on
And I
Feel strong
And I
Know that I can
Getting used to it
Lit the fuse to it
Like to know who I am
Been talking to myself forever, yeah
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter
And it feels like me
On a good day
And it feels like me
On a good day
I'm a little bit hemmed in
A little bit isolated
A little bit hopeful
A little bit cold
But I hold on
And I
Feel strong
And I
Know that I can
Getting used to it
Lit the fuse to it
Like to know who I am
Been talking to myself forever, yeah
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter...
And it feels like me
On a good day
Been talking to myself forever, yeah
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter
And it feels like me
On a good day
A little bit lonely
Little bit cold here
A little bit feared
And I
Feel strong
And I
Know that I can
Lit the fuse to it
Like to know who I am
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter
And it feels like me
On a good day
On a good day
A little bit isolated
A little bit hopeful
A little bit cold
And I
Feel strong
And I
Know that I can
Lit the fuse to it
Like to know who I am
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter...
On a good day
And how I wish I knew me better, yeah
Still sitting on a shelf and never
Never seen the sun shine brighter
And it feels like me
On a good day

This is such an amazing song... and the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory, no? It's about being on your own and trying to find out who you are and your place in the world, despite the fear and loneliness you feel from time to time. That light inside is you....and when you let it out, it's a good day!
I can relate to this song so much. I believe it is about having a personality disorder/anxiety/social issues and struggling with it everyday and how sometimes you have a good day. I feel the instrumental and vibe of the song reflect the calm feeling that you can sometimes experience when you have a good day despite all of the turmoil within yourself.
To me, the song is representable of living with a personality-disorder and/or depression/anxiety/social-phobia, and how when you stay strong and keep that determination, you start to realise that you have a greater grasp on it that is does you. "Lit the fuse to it", to me, means that the negativity is about to lift and "like to know who i am", meaning to enjoy learning to love yourself and being in a positive and more peaceful state of mind. And even when you're feeling a little lost and hopeless still, through experiencing life in the present rather than in your head, you are reminded of what it is to feel happier and good about life and yourself.
Awesome song; one of those songs that always lifts your mood when you hear it.
lyrics should be:
I'm a little bit hemmed in A little bit isolated A little bit hopeful A little bit CALM
