I think I agree with lyricalrockstar-- This definitely sounds like a friends with benefits relationship causing a mental dilemma. The singer is realizing the relationship isn't healthy anymore and not as "easy as [they] believed"
I'd say this is about two people who aren't meant to be together, but they can't leave each other because they don't want to be alone.

"this aint all its cracked up to be"it use to make me feel really good but now iot just hurts and it hurts my friends........ "Oh no, its not me I just forgot to tell you" i just recently told my closest froend and my boyfriend that i cut myself..... "Cause this hurts, I cant leave" i cut myself really bad but i just couldnt quit no matter how hard i would try......... "i'm just scared" i would try to refuse trying to find another way to deal with my problems but now im trying mu hardest........
