St. Joseph's Lyrics
We spent the night at St. Joseph's
Shaking and shivering in fever
Nurses and criminals before us
I will stay here with you, my love
We sat at Lake Junaluska
Cried over where we would wed
If it's this place or any other
It's not where I am it's who I'm with
News came of a child
Born unto a world
Of people demented and wild
I will be here for you, my love
What was our reason for fighting?
Selfish and centered at best
I give up on trying
To understand why we were blessed
We'll spend the night at St. Joseph's.
Shaking and shivering in fever
Nurses and criminals before us
I will stay here with you, my love
Cried over where we would wed
If it's this place or any other
It's not where I am it's who I'm with
Born unto a world
Of people demented and wild
I will be here for you, my love
Selfish and centered at best
I give up on trying
To understand why we were blessed

such a sad song. but it makes me feel so happy. all the bad stuff around the world, 'i will be here for you my love." Kind of makes everything worth while.
Another favorite line, "I give up on trying to understand why we were blessed."
I'm so ridiculously impressed that you got "Lake Junaluska" dead on. I had no idea what Lake they were saying. Thought it was somewhere in Alaska. Well played, you.
Lake Junaluska is in western North Carolina. And I think the title may be referring to Mission St. Joseph's hospital in Asheville.
It is about their child being born in the hospital (St. Joseph's) just an expectant father accepting fatherhod and amazed at being blessed. He also refers to protecting Mother and Child and how any fighting seems crazy and how now all self centeredness is erased by having a child
