It seems to me that this song could be taken one of two ways. It's about having God, or a significant other, to keep you strong in times of weakness.
i note that she goes from "if i have to crawl" to "WHEN i have to crawl" assuming that shell have to crawl. which is true. theres a big chuck left out of this song i think
