I'm taking, taking
All of my time
I'm dodging words,
But she's saying the right line
She made me, made me, oh so crazy
But this time I feel like I'm doing something right

It makes me sick to think about
Everything you put me through
And how you left without saying goodbye
And if its really over now,
You could walk away, and it would be the last time

This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
But you're living a lie,
You just can't hide from me

You had me hangin' on your last word
And now I'm feeling a little less than trusting
You had me wishin' we were somethin'
But left me here with a whole lot of nothing now

This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
'Cause you're living a lie
You just can't hide from me

"Love is a luxury", she says
"I'd rather be in love than dead"
But now, its her ??? with her
She's the type of girl who makes love hers

She's taking, taking, all of my time
I'm dodging words, but
She's saying the right lines (saying the right lines)
You make me, make me, oh so crazy
But this time I feel like I got it right

This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
'Cause you're living a lie
You just can't hide from me

Oh, this is the end (this is the end)
Of you and me (woahhh)
Everything I use to be, back then (this is the end)
It meant something
You're living a lie
You just can't hide from me

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
