High life
I'm taking, taking
All of my time
I'm dodging words,
But she's saying the right line
She made me, made me, oh so crazy
But this time I feel like I'm doing something right
It makes me sick to think about
Everything you put me through
And how you left without saying goodbye
And if its really over now,
You could walk away, and it would be the last time
This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
But you're living a lie,
You just can't hide from me
You had me hangin' on your last word
And now I'm feeling a little less than trusting
You had me wishin' we were somethin'
But left me here with a whole lot of nothing now
This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
'Cause you're living a lie
You just can't hide from me
"Love is a luxury", she says
"I'd rather be in love than dead"
But now, its her ??? with her
She's the type of girl who makes love hers
She's taking, taking, all of my time
I'm dodging words, but
She's saying the right lines (saying the right lines)
You make me, make me, oh so crazy
But this time I feel like I got it right
This is the end
Of you and me
Everything I use to be, back then
It meant something
'Cause you're living a lie
You just can't hide from me
Oh, this is the end (this is the end)
Of you and me (woahhh)
Everything I use to be, back then (this is the end)

You're living a lie

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

my favorite song on the cd for sure i think!!!
i swear it sounds like justin from brighten at 1:40 but it's not
great song, my favorite.
i think this is about a guy wanting to break up with a girl because the relationship is just becoming to complicated for whatever reasons but holding back hence "im taking all of my time im dodging words" and then finally just doing it because he knows its best.

this so sounds like the situation im in right now.
This song I think is about being played. Like the girl kind of lead him on, and never did she actually give them a title or admit to anything they actually were. She left him wanting more and said they would be more but never really followed through with that. Talk is cheap. He finally got fed up of falling for someone who didnt really want him.
I Love This Song :)
good as.
love it.
I agree with d3vilslilang3l 100% and unfortunatly im in that exact situation...
