We All Roll Along Lyrics
I remember every night we spent
On weekends, with good friends
We did nothing but it seems like we did so much
Back then
Oh back then, we would kick it laughin', and all relaxin'
And taking things for granted
We did anything for just that little rush
Oh yeah
Just don't forget this
We won't regret this
We've got one chance to get it right
We're alive and we drive to the center of it
Where we know we're all fine and this just can't be it
And in the end we all know we only breathe for so long
So tonight's the night
Oh we all roll along
Oh back to our first cigarette
You know we can't forget all the faces that we met
Eighty One, Twenty Three, means everything to me
Take me back to the parking lots
The sleep we fought
And all the places we got caught
This place will always be a part of me
Yeah, you're all a part of me
Just don't forget this
We won't regret this
We've got one chance to get it right
We're alive and we drive to the center of it
Where we know we're all fine and this just can't be it
And in the end we all know we only breathe for so long
So tonight's the night
Oh we all roll along
I remember every day that I spent dreaming, of leaving
This place behind, I would run away from, thinking
Ending up all the days spent wasted
Chasing the girls we hated
Some things, they, they never change
Take me back to sleepless nights
The stupid fights
And no, it never mattered who was wrong or who was right
And now you're all a part of me
We're alive and we drive to the center of it
Where we know we're all fine and this just can't be it
And in the end we all know we only breathe for so long
So tonight's the night
Oh we all roll along
On weekends, with good friends
We did nothing but it seems like we did so much

I think this song is about the good times that he once had and now he realizes all the stupid shit he used to do led to good times. He never wants to forget nor regret anything.
The "Are we all all alone?" part is actually "We all roll along."
I am wondering what the part that says "Eighty One, Twenty Three" means. Or is that only for the writer to know?
I think the "Eighty One, Twenty Three" part is something between him and his friends. But that's just my guess.
I LOVE THIS.
"Oh back to our a cigarette" should be "Back to our first cigarette"
this song just reminds me of being young and not giving a fuck about anything. love it.
this is just a random thought that occurred to me but i think since this song has a alot to do being young and thinks you'll always remember about it... well i think eighty-one, twenty-three" part could possibly reference to like high school jersey numbers or something like that because I know that before John joined the band that he was a lot different than he is now and used to play baseball and what not so maybe that why those numbers mean everything to him... but i dont know just some random suggestions that I was throwing out there...im probably way off though
i think 'Eighty One, Twenty Three' is a garage parking lot that john and friends used to hang out at because fans asked him what it meant.
8123 is the name of the street where they used to hang out(: not a jersey number lmao. && if you dont believe me then go to soundtrack.mtv.com && look up the maine && on their blogs it'll say something about questions theyve answered && it'll be right there[[=
kinda reminds me of going off to college or something and leaving all his friends that he had so much fun with and remembering all the things they used to do.
