-Sin is a wicked thing. It's pure evil, but when we come across it, sin looks heavenly. We see it as something beautiful, and notice nothing evil about it. When some people come across crack, they don't see how dangerous and life destroying it is, but how great the high will feel.

"The vomit that flows out from your mouth has seeped into your chest. Searching for the strength to breathe in one last lie from you, but right now the grave seems so much easier."

When you sin, it has grabbed a hold of you. And it's single purpose in life is to hurt you, to infect you. The last line throws me off though. Possibly the person being infected sees death as a better option than committing sin maybe?

"The fear of that devil in me... it comes from you. You're like the smoke in the window."

-I'm going to make a guess here. Possibly sin is the reason we fear satan. Sin is a powerful influence over us. It causes us to do terrible things. The smoke in the window could be a metaphor for how it clouds our judgment.

"She comes for sorrow. She comes for lies. We came here for blood. Did you? Yes or no?"

-The first line discusses why sin is here. The first sentence in the second line is stating that someone is here to try and destroy sin. "did you?" asks if [you]whoever is here to sin as well. Reason being...

"No one's getting out because we came for blood. We're not breathing and i don't care, because no one's breathing... she's not breathing."

-We must do whatever it takes to stop people from sinning.

"Choke that witch out. Suffocate her. Choke her out."

-Again, do what is necessary to destroy sin

This is a very powerful song both in the lyrics and in the melody. Norma Jean has produced another excellent album.

Pretty good Stevo, as always. But I think the line "The vomit that flows out from your mouth has seeped into your chest." should be interpreted along the lines of "You're starting to believe the things you say."

The vomit being a metaphor for lies and chest being a metaphor for 'taking it to heart'.

I'm still thrown off by how to interpret these lyrics.

It sounds like maybe sin, or whatever else, is trying to influence you one last time. But it would rather go to the grave because the person is staying strong? I'm still pondering those lines.

Stevo, i think its referring to how the person speaking is trying to find the strength to resist another lie (or any other form of sin) from satan, but its such a difficult task that he would rather die then face it again.

Lies are serpents of man, 'cause we use them to reach our own goals or to hide the truth for somebody else - with other words: They work for us. Lies are often/mostly harmful, but we hide it, and make them look good and innocent.

"I guess a liar's heart is still true even if her lips are not."

So here he sums up that what we know/mean/think not always agrees with what we say.

So the more we lie, the more it infects ourself. We maybe start to "believe" our own lies, or our conscience takes damage so we start to lie even more.

This is a picture of how tired he is of all the liars. I don't think it's the persons he hates, but it's the acts.

But by watching all the liars and experiencing the effect of the lie on his own body, he starts to be afraid of the "devil" inside himself. So his hate against the lies makes him realize that his is no better himself. When there is a fire, there is also smoke. But the first thing you see is the smoke, and it warns about the fire. So when he says "you're like the smoke in the window" he is saying, that all the liars have warned him about how he also can be.

This line is refereeing to the devil. The mother of the lies.

"We came here for blood. Did you? Yes or no? No one's getting out because we came for blood."

When someone is bleeding, he or she is hurt. So he is talking about fighting. Fighting against Satan and all the lies. And then he is asking if "you" also came to fight. This "you" can be us as listeners, but it can also be directed to Satan, and the we are included ind the "we" at the start.

Breathing is a sign of living. But it's also a symbol of freedom. So he is saying, that in this fight we are not breathing. We are not free. We have to give up some of our freedom. 'Cause if we want to defeat Satan and get him out of our lives, we have to give up a lot of things. Such as sin... But then he says that "She is not breathing". And that's right! Satan is not free neither. He is already defeated, and can only harm us, if we are sinning. So the only territory where he rules is inside sin.

So we can choke Satan out of our life and make him Suffocate by giving up on things like lying and other sins, cause then he got less and less freedom, and less and less breath.

this album The Anti Mother is based around anything that seems/seemed nice or beautiful to you at first but is/was actually deceiving.

so drugs, ex girlfriends, your mom or that 7th grade teacher you thought you actually had a chance with but got you suspended after you grabbed her butt; can all fit into this category.

NJ specifically said that an anti-mother is anything that looks beautiful and entreating but is really decieving and malicious. lol most of us think of a certain girl at some point in our life, or at least i do, but it can mean much more and it's definition is much more broad. So choke it out.......... figuratively of course............ lol awkward?
