She wants the world to see
To notice her
To cut things free
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She feels a sense of peace
Expressions pale as daylight leaves
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She lights the fire
Then she goes
Below
She lights the fire
Then she goes (lights the fire)
She goes (lights the fire)
She lights the fire
This time, this time tonight
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Tonight
She wants solutions now
A better life as souls cry out
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She turns her head to see
New solace song
The empty street
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She lights the fire
Then she goes
Below
She lights the fire
Then she goes (she lights the fire)
This time, this time tonight
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Keep holding on
The sun is gone
It's just begun
Our voice is strong
We can be heard
The sun is gone
The sun is gone
This time, this time tonight
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Keep holding on
She lights the fires
Then she goes
To notice her
To cut things free
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She feels a sense of peace
Expressions pale as daylight leaves
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
Then she goes
Below
She lights the fire
Then she goes (lights the fire)
She goes (lights the fire)
She lights the fire
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Tonight
A better life as souls cry out
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
She turns her head to see
New solace song
The empty street
She stands upon the hill
To watch the stars
Then she goes
Below
She lights the fire
Then she goes (she lights the fire)
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Keep holding on
It's just begun
Our voice is strong
We can be heard
The sun is gone
The sun is gone
Shine bright, shine bright tonight
Keep holding on
Then she goes

Does this song strike anyone as a sequel/link to Tinseltown (Yesterday Went Too Soon)?
The subject is again a girl who seems to be alone. Grant's even thrown a similar lyric "A sense of peace" in as well.
Eeee I don't know.
I really like that idea, tommyhaych! It sounds a bit like an up-tempo version of Tinseltown too :)
Probably unintentional on Grant's part but I think it's a great theory :D
