Silent Film Lyrics
In the backs of your minds,
We're thinking of a kiss,
I am bored again.
I'm awake,
I was dreaming,
In the age of divorce,
I am bored again,
I am bored again.
No - no secrets.
I'll keep heaping,
Ceased to go - go.
After all, all they want is your soul,
And some coins,
I am bored again.
I am bored again.
No secret, we'll keep no - cease to go.
I'll take the quiet life,
A silent film in black and white,
You'll take another life,
That isn't yours.
I'll take the quiet life,
Some cheap novels and T.V. dinners,
You'll take another life,
That isn't mine.
I'll take the quiet life,
Some black and white,
And painkillers,
You'll take another life,
A frozen home. (Is this home?)
This life is not what I call living.
We're thinking of a kiss,
I am bored again.
I was dreaming,
In the age of divorce,
I am bored again,
I am bored again.
I'll keep heaping,
Ceased to go - go.
And some coins,
I am bored again.
I am bored again.
A silent film in black and white,
You'll take another life,
That isn't yours.
Some cheap novels and T.V. dinners,
You'll take another life,
That isn't mine.
Some black and white,
And painkillers,
You'll take another life,
A frozen home. (Is this home?)

the 'I'll take a quite life' sounds exactly like Radiohead's 'No Surprises' I bet it's on purpose since they are clearly influenced by them... Great song anyway I guess the first part is the explanation for why he's choosing the quite life in the second part of the song
