Girl with One Eye

I don't think about a lesbian relationship. Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of something much more dark and morbid. Many sex offenders say that they hurt their victims because they had it coming, because they were so pretty. It's like they are punishing them. That's what this sounds like. Like a man came across a really pretty girl and he blamed her for being so attractive so he cut out her eye.

And now she sleeps with one eye open, not just because she has only one, but because she's scared he'll come back. It's really morbid I don't how I come up with this stuff. But here are the lines that make me think this:

"Well, her pretty little face stopped me in my tracks But now she sleeps with one eye open That's the price she paid"

"I took a knife and cut out her eye I took it home and watched it wither and die Well, she's lucky that I didn't slip her a smile That's why she sleeps with one eye open That's the price she paid"

"I said, hey, girl with one eye Get your filthy fingers out of my pie I said, hey, girl with one eye I'll cut your little heart out cause you made me cry"

This makes me think maybe she turned him down, after he asked her out, I know I left out the first two lines, but I always thought for some reason like those were their first words... Like how they met. I know it's strange but that's what it reminds me of.

Also:

"I slipped my hand under her skirt I said don't worry, it's not gonna hurt Oh, my reputation's kinda clouded with dirt That's why you sleep with one eye open That's the price you paid"

This makes me think of sexual assault, and the "my reputations kinda clouded with dirt." makes me think it's not the first time something like this has happened.
