this song seriously gives me goose bumps whenever I listen to it, it really doesn't matter about the literal meaning of the song because so much emotion pours out regardless, and it can mean whatever you want it to mean

so gorgeous.

It reminds me somehow of "Glosoli"... So vulnerable in it's beginning and then it becomes so powerful, it's such a beautiful melody.

It's giving me the creeps every single time I listen to this song....

i think this song really shows how pretty jonsi's falsetto is. it's really great to listen to with your eyes closed.

I came across this song in the movie "127 Hours," which uses the second half of the song in the climax of the movie, and it is such a perfect fit. I hadn't heard the song before that, but knew of Sigur Ros, and like the other comments say, this song made me feel the same way I felt when I first heard "Glosoli" - just amazing.

Same here, quarknb. 127 Hours is a amazing movie and history, but the music, that has been chosen for the movie is fantastic. Thank you Sigur Ros.

One of the most beautiful things I've ever listened to.

Wow, I find it funny that someone would bother putting the single word 'Hopelandic' down as lyrics ... but, yeah, I agree with h2min: this song rivals 'Glosoli' ...

well if you're looking for something to say, read-along-to or sing-along-to for that matter. I've put together a phonetical transcript using the icelandic alphabetas a source.

now, I rather not post these up there, because people might assume those are real lyrics or something like that, and I don't want to open Pandora's box. anyhow, here you go:

h2min, totally agree with you. Completely reminiscent of Glosoli.
