In my opinion this song is about two people who love eachother, but have obstacles keeping them from being together.
"Get up the nerve, get up the nerve 'Cause really what's the worst thing that could happen? Go make your move" -- He wants her to just go ahead and amit that she longs for him, and act upon it.
"There you are and here I am I have to make that clear In my own mind"
-There is something keeping the two apart, for example, maybe the girl has a boyfriend, who she wont leave, but maybe not.
"So how's 'bout spendin' half a day Underneath a tree losin' leaves"
--I love this lyric because I like to interpret it as the two spending half a day together, with what is left of the thier love (the tree losing leaves) which is slowly fading because, they know it has to.
"Say you will - or that you wish you could, convincingly"
He wants her to admit that she loves him and wants to be with him, or just fool him, because he cant bare thinking otherwise.

-- This part I was always questionable, so I asked Kenn, and He said that Black Blood is oil. That the Robots have Oil for blood. I know that this part doesnt quite fit my interpretion, but that's what he intended it to mean.

--They should just enjoy themselves, and act on thier love for eachother Then worry about it later
