Cities In Dust Lyrics
Water was running
Children were running
You were running out of time
Under the mountain
A golden fountain
Were you praying at the lares shrine?
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
We found you hiding
We found you lying
Choking on the dirt and sand
Your former glories
And all the stories
Dragged and washed with eager hands
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Children were running
You were running out of time
Under the mountain
A golden fountain
Were you praying at the lares shrine?
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
We found you lying
Choking on the dirt and sand
Your former glories
And all the stories
Dragged and washed with eager hands
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Oh, all your cities lie in dust
Yeah!
Oh, all your cities lie in dust

to me (once looked at the words in person) it kinda reminds me of Ragnarok (destruction of the viking gods) or a futuristic Mayan civilization apocalypse.
...plus adding onto "Secondnpie" it does get kinda somewhat (very) weird and would be an peculiar topic to discuss for the music... (other that "Secondnpie' and mine's description for the meaning of the song I haven't a clue...)

does anybody else realize that this song was used in "Burnout Paradise"
kinda odd to know what the words mean for a racing game?
I swear, the beginning of this song makes me instantly think of Mount Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The second verse gets kind of weird with that idea though. It'd be an odd topic to discuss for the music, but awesome in the way that it's catchy to the layman but has an interesting story behind it
Love this song :D
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice Version! Junkie XL do it again!
