i think it is about drugs or alcohol. "you dont got 5 then you're not hanging out" meaning pitch for either drugs or beer. pretty sure its drugs tho. hence the "stab your lungs" part.
its about fiends that were his friends, or so he thought and he realized so late that they were never friends. he had to pay just to hang out. all he wanted was the friendship and they didnt give a fuck about him. and he is cutting his ties to them. they want to be bros now, but he already knows that they are nothing but bitches. it is too late for them to fix what was wrong.
