Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
This song is AMAZING! It ttly applies to me. I do have one question though, the song says, which then turned into a quiet thought which then turned into a quiet word. In your opinion, what exactly is that word?
I think that word is love
i think that the word is "love". "quiet thought" referring to how they thought they were in love and "quiet word" referring to saying that you love somebody.
now see? i dont really think that it is love, i think it is somthing strong but hopeful, mabey somthing religious?
I think it is love. "It started out as a feeling," of course it could be something just as powerful. But for me, love starts out as a feeling, then i kinda hope i actually am in love and the one i love is just as in love with me. I tell people, tell myself, and eventually, if it lasts long enough, evryone hears like "it's a battlecry." I love this song it's so beautiful. good question too! ^_^
Samdaninja I agree with you, the word is the answer of the calling this song makes you feel. When the song talks about "Let your memories grow stronger and stronger<br /> 'Til they're before your eyes" He is talking for me about the inmortality of his soul... of our souls... I am not religius at all... havent been in church for 5 years maybe... it just occured to me when i listened to that song.<br />
