This song is about appreciating life's little miracles, particually the birth of your children. I'm not religious, but I this is one of, if not my favorite songs by George.
It is so well written. Sometimes the speed of our lives distorts our perspective but when one slows down to see the majesty of everything we have, we know God's fingerprints are everywhere. Also no one could deliver this song better than "King George"
