I honestly don't know what this ones about but I like it alot.
I went through something quite similar to this... i pretty much think its about changing yourself in order to be good enough for someone.. i think it's two different ways of looking at the situation. if he had been strong enough, he could have changed. but at that time, he didn't think he should have to change for her.
