"The song Focus is a straight up love song written to her. The whole line "I can't focus when I'm near you, do you notice me at all?" is about how much love I can feel from this brand new person but she has no idea how much I love her cause she's so young. So that's focus is about."

This song can easily be interpreted as a love song. It can also be interpreted as many other things. For me, I interpreted as a love song only because I'm going through something equivalent to this. Anyway, maybe later in my life I will interpret this song differently. But as for now, that's how I take it.

I feel like this song's deeper than her physical beauty because of that line. Like there's a spark pulling him in? Like the spark's made him addicted to her and he can't focus on anything else period. Beautiful love song.

This is one of 10 Years' most straight forward songs. Its easily a love song, a very good one too, very different to your regular love song. Oh and thats nice that its for his daughter, i didnt know that.

This song totally radiates true love; how much love he must feel not to be able to focus on anything except for love...it's like he almost can't even stop to think of the word love; he's just feeling, not focusing, because God is the one who's in control.
