This song is about Jesse and the band's friends who are envious of the band being famous and living "dream lives" while they are stuck in a cubicle, "9 to 5 in a suit and tie." Jesse is telling them to follow their dreams, just like he and the band followed their dreams.
he is telling someone to get out of their comfort zone and live, because now they are doing nothing and "dying in slow motion". it says to live life to the fullest. or thats how i see it
I think hes talking about if you get into the boring routine of wake up. go to work. come home. sleep. eventually time passes you by and you wonder where its gone. I think hes saying be more spontaneous and like VAN said, live life to the fullest. Don't get caught in the routine and the norm.
This one's about taking risks and not regretting the results. Live your life to the fullest and dont let nothing stand in your way. Afterall, we're only put on this earth for about 80 years. We're all dying in slow motion. Make the best of the time you have because you never know when the last grain of sand will fall from the hourglass.

i think 10 years go so mutch deeper that it seems .
we are taught this REAL WORLD is real so we work our lifes away instead we could be living life to the fullest , we are hear so long that we loose track of our original inensions. and we go with the flow , so live life for every moment because it's just a ride, and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort. No worry. No job. No savings and money. Just a choice, right now, between fear and love .bill hicks.
