This song hits me hard, but just the chorus does. The reason is because my father passed away a little over 3 years ago and I was going on 15.

The first part of the chorus. My dad always told me just have fun, who cares if you win or lose and he said no matter whatever I did in life, he'd be right there.

"Don’t be afraid when your fight is through I just need you to know That I’m here with you"

This part means a lot too because when my fight is through, I know my dad will be waiting in Heaven for me.

Just wanted to say that I love the piano in this song, and the vocals are so god damn clear and.. ugh so nice. So moving. My lord you could interpret this song in so many ways. I don't know what to really say. Other than it's a really good song..

this song is written to Brad Renfro...Jesse's cousin who passed away...Wasteland was also written about him before he died because he was in a "bad" place

ya i read in an interview that this song was wriiten about someone in jesse's family that died from a drug addiction i think. i luv this song and the piano is beautiful

Reminds me of a good friend of mine who is in a rough place in her life doing drugs and alcohol, and it's kind of my song to her. Amazing song
