Birthday Girl Lyrics
Birthday girl, it's your birthday
Wherever you wanna go
Now you are old enough to go and see the R-rated show now
R-rated show
Backstage in high heels and painted on jeans
Probably had the most devious eyes I'd ever seen
Told me she was twenty-two she was only seventeen
She had sumthin' to hide she snuck in from outside
And got everybody gassed like the car I drive
With all that grown lady ass and my for rap vibe
She said she came to see them roots boy fallout live
But listen
Birthday girl, it's your birthday
Wherever you wanna go
Now you are old enough to go and see the R-rated show now
R-rated show
I talk to a woman, he mind more steady
Probably something in the way they designed just more steady
I just let you recite cause the line so heavy
But I shoulda known better cause now I feel like America's underbelly
R. Kelly got a smart better less, internet predators, chat-room irregulars
This not my twist
You trying to send me to the therapist
Birthday girl, it's your birthday
Wherever you wanna go
Now you are old enough to go and see the R-rated show now
R-rated show
Two tomato fried fish
Cause she heard its my dish
Tryna be my sidekick
All the people all around thinking she was my chick
Saying DAMN the girl thick
But she aint no twenty-six
Looking at me like am up to sumthin' on the funny tip
Like I ever been the one to honey jib
Its your birthday so let me know the gift you wanna get
In fact blow out the candles on the cake and make a wish for me
So they tried asking her to stay
Fake I.D. you won't get turned away
You look lovely tonight
Now you are old enough to buy a gun
So many better ways of having fun
Right now I can only think of one
You look lovely tonight
Birthday girl, it's your birthday
Wherever you wanna go
Now you are old enough to go and see the R-rated show now
R-rated show
well, we are supposed to be discussing what we personally think the song means... in order to help others get an idea of what songs mean etc. etc. that's what this whole website is about! anyway, i personally think that this song is catchy, and poppy sounding.. i guess you can say. BUT, i think that they lyrics are more than what they sound. They go in deeper, and tell a story. It's a bit hard for me to figure out what the story may be, which is why i came to this site to find answers, but i didn't find any.
I think that it's about a girl (but geared towards girls in general) and how some tend to do things that they aren't really supposed to be doing. some men know, some don't know. stuff like that. and how, now in our world, there is right and wrong, but there always are people that go around it for different reasons.
It's a song about many different things all put together.
i love this song tbh.
pretty sure the lyrics above are incorrect.

Uh though this was self explanatory but I guess not.
It's a story about how he gets involved with this girl who tells him she's 22 but she's really 17. The line "Told me she was twenty-two she was only seventeen" states this pretty clearly. When she turns 18 and is finally legal he sings
"What is it we wanna do now that I'm allowed to be alone with you?" It is no longer illegal for him to sleep with her and this coming of age is reinforced by the line
"Wherever you wanna go now you are old enough to go and see the R-rated show now" This once again shows she's 18 as she's now able to go to R rated films
I love the video to this song :) Very cheeky.
why does this song have so much haters toward it? how/why does it offend you...i can't understand quite yet.
daytanks28 - Hint: it has something to do with the size of "Birthday Girl"'s mouth ;)

it's a popy song, but the lyrics are ..not
I'm pretty sure the girl's name is Jeanine, not Jenning. That makes no sense.
Also, the girl singing at the end sounds kinda like Regina Spektor.
