You're fooling no one but yourself
You finally made it to your own hell
It took the bottom to shake your will
You forgot to love and forgot to feel

They locked you up, you're scratching the ceiling
You're down on your knees, you're praying for something
You're looking real high, (line to live for?)
What do you do and where do you go now

I know a place for you to hide
The past catches up with you one day
And stares you in the face and takes you away
The blindness always seems to win
And one day you will wake up with nothing to give

You've been strung out for awhile
I know that you know that we know you know
You're living a story that's already been made
You're burning the pages that you keep fading
The more you keep hiding the more we keep fighting
The less you keep trying, the sooner you're dying
The more that you give up, the more that you give back
The cleaner that you get, the sweeter that life is
The sooner that you know, the sooner the shit flows

Ya got to give it up now, ya gotta let it rest
The time is right now, you know it's right

It's time that you tear down that wall inside
The past catches up with you one day
And stares you in the face and takes you away
The blindness always seems to win
And one day you will wake up with nothing to give

Please forgive me, please forgive me.......

You never think it will ever turn out the way it does when you start out
The past catches up with you one day
And stares you in the face and takes you away
The blindness always seems to win
And one day you will wake up with nothing to give
Lah, lah, lah-da, lah-da-da

Please forgive me, please forgive me, please forgive me...

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
