I think this is my favourite song off of Skeletons. I think it is a well known fact that wednesday gave up alcohol when he wrote this album. So think that drinking was his demise while people are just cheering.
I didn't like this song to begin with, but now it is my favourite. It's such a well written song, you can take it however you want. But Wednesday 13 has said the album was about his depression, near suicide, and alcoholism.
"The crowd goes wild at my demise" seems to mean that he was slowly killing himself and people just continued to cheer.
I love how he manages to pull of writing emotional songs without making it soppy.
Let's hope he carries on now he is over the hard bit. xx~
wow i had no idea this song was about drink. i gathered it was jst about if he was ever unloved by his fans they would jst cheer tht th band is dying off. i would hate it if wednesday ever died off but 2 me they will never die x x x x x x x x x x x x x
this song is about how on tour in Germany on 2009 he saw a website where his old friends from high school had been making up shit about him and a bunch of other stuff which just made him really depressed and the "and the crowd goes wild at my demise" was him at the time saying they had won and had managed to make depressed he said this in an interview with some guy called greg just type in my demise song meaning it should come up
