She told me why
She told me lies
I always take care of this
I told her how
I've always stayed
Always waited for nothing

When I get out of here
Will I leave you behind?
I found that the years passed despite

When I get out of here
Will I leave you behind?
I found that the years passed despite

And I can see you
Running through the fields of sorrow
Yes I can see you
Running through the fields of sorrow

When you get out of here
When you leave me behind
You find that the years passed us by

When you get out of here
When you leave me behind
You find that those years passed us by

And I can see you
Running through the fields of sorrow
Yes I can see you
Running through the fields of sorrow

    Memory

it is obvious to a point. "Always take care of this" means he is going to try and take care of the lies/some problem. like make them stop. The next verse talks about how he was waiting for it to stop, but they didn't. Otherwise why would he stay in a hurtful relationship? He wanted to solve the problem, but its two to have a relationship, and needs her help. Thus why he says, "for nothing"

When he believes hes had enough he leaves the woman and realizes that he is still thinking about the woman. When he realizes this it is an implication that what he had done, the overreation of leaving, was a mistake. As time goes by while they are broken up he sees her in sadness knowing, that she is not with him.

The woman responds within her own thoughts the exact same thing. Her first verse is about he is going to leave her and that she is well aware of how much she still loves her; she will keep being on his mind as time goes on without her.

She also sees him in her life still after the breakup and sees the sadness in him.

The ending is either about how she is also apologetic about her lieing to him, and that they both handled their problems people have in relationships in a bad way.

Or, due to who it is written, when the woman says "you" instead of "I" like the man, it could mean that she recognizes his sole irrational mistake and because he left instead of compromising or something, they both will suffer missing out on eachother as the years pass them by.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
