We're Not Gonna Make It Lyrics
He steps a shy foot into the room
She knows that this days been long overdue
And now as the tears fall down her face
The pain is real
And its starting to show
She says again..
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
And with a whisper she mumbles through
"Well I guess they just won't accept me and you"
They see a difference in skin
But I thought that love was always true
Who would've known
That in a search for her parents love
Her happiness, no, was just not enough (never enough)
She tries to keep it inside
But through these hopeless eyes
The world is a lie
She says again..
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
I'll show you
(Until the lines that divide start to fade away)
I'll show you
(Until the lines that divide start to fade away)
I know I can show you that I'm not afraid
NO, because tomorrow will come
You know I'm not afraid
And we will no longer run
You know I'm not afraid
Because tomorrow will come
And I am not afraid, not afraid
We're not gonna make it
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
We're not gonna make it
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
We're not gonna make it
(We're not gonna make it)
Until the lines that divide start to fade away
I'll show you
(Until the lines that divide start to fade away)
I'll show you
(Until the lines that divide start to fade away)
I'll show you
These lines start to fade
It all starts to fade
It all starts to fade away
She knows that this days been long overdue
And now as the tears fall down her face

Amazing song. Obviously addressing interracial relationships and the unnecessary drama that follows. One of the best songs on the new record.
A Fucking gree totally with Simply. This whole album is about is about resolving political problems.
I agree with writing on the walls and simply This song truly is incredible...
I think more people should sit back and listen to words more closely...
Political, environemental, and social problems where the core to this album.
Much better then their previous album, but not as good as Page Avenue
I'm totally impressed with the amount of emotion packed into this song. Such a roller coaster. Second only to Me Vs. the World by Madina Lake for sheer amazing vocals. Great writing and sung in a way that just sucks you in. Meaning is self explanitory. Such a wonderful song
Brilliant song. I think it's pretty obvious what it's about.. But I think it can also be universal in some ways. I know I related to it in my own relationship. You want eachother.. But deep down you know it's not going to work, and you'll probably break up
