Done with the Compass Lyrics
Do you spend your days counting the hours you're awake?
And when night covers the sky you find yourself doing the same
There's a burden you've been bearing in spite of all your prayers
There's a light turned off inside your heart
Can you remember what it's like to care?
Knees are weak, hands are shaking, I can't breathe
So give me the drug, keep me alive
Give me what's left of my life
Don't let me go, whooaa
Pull this plug, let me breathe
On my own, I'm finally free
Don't let me go, whooaa
The trail of crumbs you left somehow got lost along the way
If you never meant to leave then you only had to stay
But the memories that haunt us are cherished just the same
As the ones that bring us closer to the sky, no matter how grey
And yet I fall, through these clouds, reaching, screaming
Give me the drug, keep me alive
Give me what's left of my life
Don't let me go, whooaa
Pull this plug, let me breathe
On my own, I'm finally free
Don't let me go, whooaa
This grip loosens but it never breaks (NEVER BREAKS!)
We carry nothing but a name you will forsake
Your words are always there to break my fall (BREAK MY FALL!)
In them I find the comfort to see through it all
Guide me through unchartered waters
Before we lose our way again
Will you be my compass until forever?
Until forever ends!?
Knees are weak, hands are shaking, I can't breathe
So give me the drug, keep me alive
Give me what's left of my life
Don't let me go, whooaa
Pull this plug, let me breathe
On my own, I'm finally free
Don't let me go, whooaa
Don't let me go, whooaa
Don't let me go, whooaa

I do believe that this song is actually titled Injection, as the lyrics are the same and on the album I got, it was called Injection. Great song, I think that lyrics might be a tad bit off on here though. Oh well... as it is.
yeah, i've noticed :P i dont know why i've got the same song with this name, but i downloaded it so it doesnt really matter..
can i delete this somehow?
oh, now i know. found this on wikipedia:
"On May 13th 2006, an unmastered copy of the album was leaked to the internet, followed a month later by a mastered advance. The leaked version of the album contained the b-side "But Tonight We Dance" which did not appear on the album. Besides the b-side not being included, the title of the song "Done with the Compass" was changed to what is now "Injection" and the song "Diaspora" was changed to "Prayer of the Refugee"."

Yeah, I had that one! Prayer of the Refugee makes much sense than Diaspora, at least for me.

Actually I disagree with Hugo... I think Diaspora would've been a better title, 'Prayer of the Refugee' seems to make the guy singing sound as if he's a criminal. However, maybe this was intentional because perhaps that's the way America sees the guy? idk, this is Death Blossoms, not Prayer of the Refugee.
