Aly, Walk With Me Lyrics
Aly, walk with me in the summer
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk with me in Portland
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walks with me in my dreams
So strange and true
Can I walk with you in Portland,
Walk next to you?
Aly, walk with me in New York City
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk with me in the summer
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk right out of my dreams
Into my arms
Aly, walk with me in the city
Aly, walk with me
Aly, step right out of my head
And kiss me goodnight
Aly, walk with me in my dreams
All through the night
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk with me in Portland
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walks with me in my dreams
So strange and true
Can I walk with you in Portland,
Walk next to you?
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk with me in the summer
Aly, walk with me
Aly, walk right out of my dreams
Into my arms
Aly, walk with me in the city
Aly, walk with me
And kiss me goodnight
Aly, walk with me in my dreams
All through the night

I can't help but feel that Aly is a ghost or an angel or something of that sort..
I feel like it's referring to Allie of Catcher in the Rye, and that part of the book where the main character Holden is all walking down the street talking in his head to his dead brother Allie.
The mere mentioning of Portland (the greatest city on earth) puts shivers down my spine every time I hear this fantastic track. I think this song is about someone who means a lot to another who is not physically actually there with this person (just in the heart). This person thinks of having this person by their side wherever they go.
according to an interview given by the guitarist, it's about a real girl he had a long distance relationship with: http://stereogum.com/7093/the_raveonettes_aly_walk_with/the-gum-drop/ "Aly is a girl I started writing with a long time ago and we developed this strange long-distance “relationship,” which was very powerful. I wrote the song about her ’cause I used to dream up all these scenarios about how or where we would first meet when that beautiful day would finally come. It turned out our first meeting was in New York City, just like the song."
