Luxuria Lyrics
He was given a thorn in his side. Was I given the same? Around ever corner in this life, lies are whispering. I follow what they say. As demons hide, I'll curse your name, and I'll say it to your face. When I've died and touched the flame, I'll know who I should blame. The blankets of this leave me cold. Curse my thoughts and my eyes. Looking back at all of this I know maybe I should of cried. Maybe I don't mind. You've got today, but you always say that you'll change tomorrow. Good intentions fade when you sit and say that you'll change tomorrow. We have stolen blood running through our veins like a cancer. We have found a cure and it's you, and we have found the answer. As demons lie, I speak your name, and I'll say it to your face. When I die, I'll say with a smile that you are the one to blame. As demons lie, I'll say it to your face.

Hmmmm....
Maybe it is about him watching people lie, cheat, steal, etc. And he says when the demons lie, he will say who was in the wrong. He will be the one saved in the end. He was given a burden of seeing this.
I agree njspeedbeast but I can't seem to tie it all together.
"You've got today, but you always say that you'll change tomorrow. Good intentions fade when you sit and say that you'll change tomorrow".
This is one of those lines telling people to realize that they are only promised the moment they are alive and not another more, so don't procrastinate about the future of your soul.
This song is a bit confusing because I'm not sure who the singer is really cursing, but in the end it seems like he is against the Devil.
I just thought of this from the first line:
To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 2 Corinthians 12:7 NIV
Was I given the same? - He's talking about the thorn in the side that Paul spoke of. The thorn is something that reminds him of his weakness, to prevent pride.
I'm not sure about the overall song, but there's some food for thought.
What I get from this song is his ignorance. He's talking about while demons are hiding because they know Jesus, he curses Christ and has the audacity to say it to His face. And when it's too late, he'll look back and know how he thought he'll always have tomorrow. He's got the cure, he's got the answer and it's Christ and he doesn't even realize.
It's a great song and they're a great band.
DaveatKaos, your interpretation seems good, and yeah, good song of theirs.
peter_j_s has a really good verse for the song.
I offer a different view to most in regards to "You've got today, but you always say that you'll change tomorrow. Good intentions fade when you sit and say that you'll change tomorrow"
