I saw the future in a tree outside.
There was your heart, and there was mine.
This love, torn apart by every word.
Is hopeless love all we have?
Is this what we dreamed?
I cannot go.
Take this heart let it die slow.
Tear away from the pain.
Tear away from the red.
Are we trading in our hearts for emptiness?
Is this love or human condition?
I close my eyes to see you.
Hope is in your name.
Where you are I cannot go.
Take, this heart and let it go

it sounds to me.. that the guy was in a relationship.. But they argued a lot.. so he thought he should not follow her anymore..

This love torn apart by every word [meaning they argue and its killing their relationship]

Is it hopeless love all we have? [questioning if their love is hopeless]

Is this what we dreamed? [ he doesnt think its what or how they wanted things to be ]

I cannot go, Take this heart, let it die slow [he cant go with her anymore, but he'll always love her, even though its killing him]

Tear away from the pain Tear away from the red. [hes trying to get away from the relationship]

Are we trading in our hearts for emptiness? [ he doesnt think theres love in the relationship anymore.. but he still loves her so hes trading his heart for nothing]

Is this love or human condition? [humans have the need to be loved, so hes wondering if its actually love or just the need..]

I close my eyes to see you. Hope is in your name. Where you are I cannot go. Take, this heart and let it die slow..

It's about the Garden of Eden and Satan's deception. "hope is your name" and "is this love or human condition" are the biggest giveaways in this song.

I think this song is simply about god and how human kind went away from him to make their own way.

There was your heart, and there was mine. This love, torn apart by every word. [by every word we spoke]

Is hopeless love all we have? Is this what we dreamed? [we dreamed about having no god, but obviously it wasn't enough for us]

I cannot go. Take this heart let it die slow. Tear away from the pain. Tear away from the red. [he can't turn away from jesus. His human heart (which loves this wold) should die and jesus / god should tear him away from all the pain]

Are we trading in our hearts for emptiness? Is this love or human condition? [because we left god, we just have emptiness in us, and we cannot fill that hole in our hearts]

I close my eyes to see you. Hope is in your name. Where you are I cannot go. [well, I guess he questions jesus to come back in his life again ... "hope is in your name" makes it quite sure for me, cause Kyle is christian. And I'm quite sure he knows that there is no hope in women or men at all, cause we're all sinner]

Hm This could be about Two people who want to be together but they can't for some unknown reason maybe he's going off to college and she doens't want to feel hurt when he leaves. So they know its right to separate but either way its going to hurt him. Situation sounds fmailiar....

When I hear "tear away from the red" one thing that comes to mind for me is the verse; Isaiah 1:18 "'Come now, let us reason together,' says the LORD. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool'". Just one way I like to look at the song.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
