I, Lucifer Lyrics
I carved your picture into my skin. I showed everyone that I never sin. Just because I bleed like you I am not a man. I am not of this world and you must understand.
I have a predestined plan, and I walk better than you.
I preach what I practice, and I will practice on you. I carved your holy name into my skin, I showed everyone that I'm not a trend. I am a zombie, I'd be better off dead. I speak of angels, but host demons instead and...
I am praying for a prayer that's true, and I am preying on you. I talk about walking, and I have walked upon you.
When I look at all of you I see the weak. I'm a wolf among the lost sheep. I will tell them the scriptures, and I will profit from your name. I will sell them the scriptures, and I will pocket your fame. I magnify splinters while trees grow from my eyes. I am posing for pictures while feasting on bread and your wine.
I have a predestined plan, and I walk better than you.

i believe this song is the lead singer speaking from the anti - christs point of view.
"I showed eveyone that I never sin."
like the bible predicts, he will come and try to show everyone he is perfect so they will believe him.
"I speak of angels but host demons instead; I am praying for a prayer that is true, and im preying on you; I talk about walking, and i have tried to walk upon you."
He's sayin like the anti - christ will try to sell himself as the son of God and behind the scenes he even does stuff that makes him look like the messiah. But he actually is the son of Satan and wishes to destroy the world.
"...I will profit from your name. I will tell them the scriptures, and i will pocket your fame."
It's like he's saying, I will come and portray myself as a man of God and i will still God's glory by giving it to the devil.
Just my perception of the song
Perfect. It's what I got as well
Perfect. It's what I got as well
He's basically calling out to all the people who use God as a business.
I agree with speedbeast.
its
"and i tried to walk upon you" not i have walked upon you
I think ballstothewall31 has it dead on. It makes a lot of sense, especially when you put the title of the song into play.
Ballstothewall31 and xoEmergencyTDM - I agree but maybe its a combination.... likening all of the money hungry Priests and Preachers unto a tool of the Devil ie the Devil himself. Think about how when you see a preacher speaking about giving to the poor and then drives away in his fancy car. That may turn off people to the idea of following Christ...making the Devil glad.
well ballstothewall31 , your interpretation seems good, considering the title of the song. but one thing: the Antichrist is going to be Satan, not a son of his. yes, he will try to be as Christ and many people will be deceived by that, which is why trusting in God is very important.
Is Christ seated upon a “Throne,” so also will Satan be (Rev. 2:13, Gk.). Has Christ a Church, then Satan has his “synagogue” (Rev. 2:9). Has Christ a “bride,” then Satan has his “whore” (Rev. 17:16). Has God His “Vine,” so has Satan (Rev. 14:19). Does God have a city, the new Jerusalem, then Satan has a city, Babylon (Rev. 17:5; 18:2). Is there a “mystery of godliness” (1 Tim 3:16), so also there is a “mystery of iniquity” (2 Thess. 2:7). Does God have an only-begotten Son, so we read of “the Son of Perdition” (2 Thess. 2:3). Is...

Is the Son of God also the Son of Man, then the son of Satan will also be the “Man of Sin” (2 Thess. 2:3).
satan will have a son and he will be the antichrist
