Takes a number, stands in line
'cause he doesn't feel like himself
And he's always played the wallflower
just cared for a sense of self
He plays on in spite of everything
disillusioned by his right
What makes it all go away
when you can't put up a fight, can't put up a fight?
Oh, but it's okay to breathe
your worries away
when everything and everyone try to lead you astray
Hold your own, hold your ground,
hold to life when you're down,
and always believe that there's a way back home
She's waiting on the answer,
a way to let them know
The thought of someone else inside her,
and the fear begins to grow
Warn tears feed dry hands
as she falls to the ground
It's strange how sadness presents itself
when there's no one around,
there's no one around
Oh, but it's okay to breathe
your worries away
when everything and everyone try to lead you astray
Hold your own, hold your ground,
hold to life when you're down,
and always believe that there's a way back home
Oh, but it's okay to breathe
your worries away
when everything and everyone try to lead you astray
Hold your own, hold your ground,
hold to life when you're down,
and always believe that there's a way back home
Won't you hold your ground,
hold tolife when you're down
(A way back home)
And always believe that there's a way back home
(A way back home)
Hold your ground, hold to life when you're down
(Oh, you're down)
A way back home
(hold your ground)
And always believe that there's a way back home
'cause he doesn't feel like himself
And he's always played the wallflower
just cared for a sense of self
He plays on in spite of everything

Yay the first to comment! First of all I love this Band! :] I actually just discovered this band before David Cook was annouced American Idol! When I heard Daivd Cook's voice I wanted to know everything possible about him and then a friend told me about Axium, and how the lead voccal's was David Cook and then I listened to a couple of their song's and just feel in love with the band and also the fact that David Cook sang with them! I love David Cook he has an amazing voice!
The meaning I guess, Hehe I think in short word's that this song meand's to hold on there's a way back home Hold on when your down. (Don't give up)
Axium Rocks! :] :] :] -kristian
The thing about this song, as well as most songs written with the influence of David Cook, is that they're easy to relate to. I love his stuff, it's amazing.
well, second verse is about a girl who has to tell her parents she's pregnant, but it's warm tears, not warn tears.
The first verse, third line is "And he's always played the welfare world" or at least something about welfare. I think the person in that verse has depression or some mental problem, because it says he "doesn't feel like himself". And he just lets the government pay him instead of trying to get a job. (that's what I get from "just cared for a sense of self" and "disillusioned by his right")
I agree with Kristian, Axium does rock. :)
