You Can't Get Enough Lyrics
Separate from your affliction
Feel alone when I look in your eyes
I'm no longer your addiction
A distant void reflecting in your lies
Don't say a word
Don't cry
You can't get enough
Under your skin
You can't get enough
Drawing your sin
Your lower power is now calling
Spiders crawling through your open pores
In your presence I feel you're falling
I say enough but all you want is more
Don't say a word
Don't lie
You can't get enough
Under your skin
You can't get enough
Drawing your sin
Feel alone when I look in your eyes
I'm no longer your addiction
A distant void reflecting in your lies
Don't say a word
Don't cry
Under your skin
You can't get enough
Drawing your sin
Spiders crawling through your open pores
In your presence I feel you're falling
I say enough but all you want is more
Don't say a word
Don't lie
Under your skin
You can't get enough
Drawing your sin

This makes me think of an ex, and I think it might be about a similar situation. I dated a girl who had some issues, and in the end, it became clear to me that she didn't really care for me, but instead, I was like her medication. She didn't have many other friends, so she depended on me. Then, she found new friends, and basically threw me away. She didn't need her "happy pills" anymore, so to speak. She seemed to have a penchant for drama, too. I think this is similar. The woman he's singing to/about doesn't need him anymore. He's no longer her addiction. Her feelings for him are gone, because they were never real in the first place. And she's just creating drama. He's sick of it, but she can't get enough under her skin. She just needs more fucked up drama and is just ending up hurting him. I could almost say that the whole album kind of tells a story about two lovers, because in a good deal of the songs, he seems to be speaking to a lover, and they seem to be going in a logical order.
The whole concept of his lyrics is about his divorce with the actress Carol Bernstein.. thats why theres a lot of emotional pain
In my view, it's about a partner who no longer have those feelings anymore. Possibly from the start. Ampulex explained it very well (sorry to hear what happen though).
