Am I the only one who sees this as completely sexual? He quits the relationship because she has "ripped apart his soul" and so now how is she going to get off without him? He would love to "give a dog a bone" and "ring her bell" but he's given up his "midnight creep" and now her "daddy ain't there to do it" to her. Awesome song, and so is the whole album!

I didn't think of this song as sexual until I listened to it a second time and really caught the parts after "How you gonna rock yourself to sleep?" I remember I actually turned around to look at my stereo in amazement when I realized what he was saying. Have to agree with heavysoul; definitely badass. It made me blush.

I thought it was about not helping friends who he helped before...How are you going to make another successful record/tour when I'm not helping you like before. "Digging it all for free" --getting free publicity by being promoted in interviews, album production, opening act, etc. "How you gonna do it alone" --a lot of your success is from my ideas, my input, now you've put me down/acted like I didn't help, now I won't be there when you need me.
