Society's Quiet Alibi Lyrics

Flashing televisions
Heading captions
Love is making it or so it seems
Between the bed sheets all eyes are glued
We understand that its nothing new

We watch the faces of those falling hearts,
So can we sleep tonight?
We watch them walk into a room that is
Destined for regret

Can love still be the love where purity is found?

She dreams of weddings and white dresses
She knows her wrongs and where they go,
If she’s aware, then I’m not forcing.
Who wants her now? a show of hands,
A perfect 10 they say...
A love so exploited and shameful
This wedding dress need not be white.

We watch the faces of those falling hearts,
So can we sleep tonight?
We watch them walk into a room that is
Destined for regret

Sleep, but soon enough
I will have your eyes
Tonight, tonight

We watch the face of those falling hearts so can we sleep tonight
We watch you walk into a room that is destined for regret
We sleep but soon enough I’ll have your eyes tonight, tonight, tonight

Sooooo I couldn't decipher a lot of the words. If they have ?'s around them they're up for debate. Sorry! This is from an old EP of theirs. It was called "Starting Over" and was released twice - the first was before they changed their name from Edison to Edison Glass. The second was after they got signed and had changed the name. :)

I sent them corrected lyrics, some of which I got straight from the band.
