Well I actually got this song title tattooed on my arm with a portrait of myself covering my eyes and what i get from this song is entering a new relationship and being afraid because of the ones that have left a mark and that no one will wait for you while you being coward hiding for love

This song holds so much beauty. . . It leaves me speechless.

I'm pretty sure its "she locks all the doors and turns" instead of "she looks at the doors and turns". An amazing song :)

mk04m i've thought that in several of lydia's songs there has been underlying drug references too..

The 'waiting' and 'changing' in this song could be inrelation to a drug dependency or an overcoming of an addiction..

Having said that all the theories hold their own truths so far..

Thats prob the best thing about Lydias music.. the room for interpretation is endless.

( My interpretation of just the beginning is that everything is failing and all he sees seems to go wrong or bad, Because people around him never wait. Kind of like a lack of patience. He goes on to say “I’ll wait for you, love” showing that he’s different from all he see’s.)

(Perhaps the “cause…” is because he loves her???)

Well, she locks all the doors and turns, says, "We will always be safe here in this bed All I see scares me, and no one waits forever."

("All I see scares me" was perhaps the muse for this song. Because that quote is very admirable and beautiful. Then maybe shes also afraid that he might not wait for her.)

I think its sad how he refers to drugs as his "medicine"

This song is incredible. Definitely my favourite off the new album...

I think it's about two people that used to be together, but aren't any more, but the singer is saying that they've both 'changed', and that any of their past faults aren't any more.

That's why he's saying "this isn't all we could be", because he knows they'd be good together again, rather than apart.

I think this is a sort of prequel to the song "Hospital" on the same album. I think maybe the guy is dying in a hospital bed after being in a coma for a long time. Remembering his love that would come see him for a while, but finally gave up, that he would not wake up, and so left him. And now he is dying and remembering her. I think "Hospital" is after and he has died and passed on, but singing to her.

I like Hixey's interpretation, especially because I've been listening to "All I See" and "Hospital" back to back and can see the resemblance.
