Sometimes I Feel Like Alice Lyrics
Sometimes I feel like Alice
In a wonderland chasing rabbits
Cheshire cats and mad hatters
A better world well it don't really matter
Well day breaks and light fills the darkest room
The air is laced with sweet perfume
What is it about morning light
That makes everything feel alright
Alright
Well it feels like I have just woke up
In a world where down is up
And up is a long way from here
In the big wheels where they keep on turning
They don't slow down, you just keep on learning
Well my name's not Alice but I know how she felt
When her world started turning into something else
Sometimes I feel Alice
In the Queen's alluring palace
Got the playing cards on my track
Like a twisted game of blackjack
Because it feels like I have just woke up
In a world where down is up
And up is a long way from here
In the big wheels where they keep on turning
They don't slow down, you just keep on learning
Well my name's not Alice but I know how she felt
When her world started turning into something else
Well sometimes I feel like Alice
Oh my name's not Alice but I know how she felt
When her world started turning into something else
No my name's not Alice but I know how she felt
When her world started turning into something else
Well it feels like I have just woke up
In a world where down is up
And up is a long way from here
In a wonderland chasing rabbits
Cheshire cats and mad hatters

I'm not sure about that fifth line. And I wonder if she wrote those 'wells' in, or if it's subconcious.
Now think that fifth line is "Well day breaks and light fills the darkest room" :) Still my favorite Lisa Mitchell song.

Lisa said that this song is about how she feels when things are a little bit crazy and all over the place
this song is so gorgeous, i was named after alice in wonderland and anything to do with her has always just captivated me. Her voice is so brilliant, i cant wait to see her at Big Day out next year. Its just about losing your way i think, like shes saying that shes just ben thrown into a place she doesnt know (much like alice) and theres no one there to help i love the second verse, what is it about morning light that makes everything feel alright? - its so true, often youll wake up in the morning and just feel like you can cope. and the repeated chorus is so lovely. such a beautiful girl with such a beautiful voice.
To me it sounds like a song about her becomming famous and how weird it was 'got the playing cards on my track like a twisted game of blackjack' maybe meaning paparazzi?
i love this song :) it's amazing, it relates to how lisa is comparing herself to people who've had problems that are fictional. this seems like lisa is trying to say that she wishes her life was fictional, not true. But i love this song, it gives a clear insight to the colourful life of alice in wonderland, like the rabbits :)
but just to say, the song is called alice, not sometimes i feel like alice
iTunes, amazon.com and last.fm all disagree with you.. I don't have my copy of the EP handy to know for sure, but something tells me those three sources are unlikely to be wrong, especially when they are in agreement.

When I checked the itunes store it had this song listed as "Alice In Wonderland". Maybe the name changes depending on the region? (itunes Canada vs. the UK, maybe?) This is odd.

Lovely song, by the way.
