Im pretty sure this song is about a man ( suppossibly Matt) and a women having some time apart, maybe partuial break up, or haveing to go away for some reason, the man believes there relationship will be fine, but the women has no trust in him and thinks its over.

At first i thought this was about a boy who had died and his gf was angry at his death....
But, i think this song is about a girl who is indecisive about the relationship....She has doubt in him and i think she asks him for time but he cannot help but pursue her....When he wakes up he is with her and she asks him if he is lost......this is all just symbolic for someone trying so hard for the other person and getting little or no response....he cant make her want him even though he tries to be there for her...so now all he can do is question why she has no faith in them or him....He loves her so he cant move on so he will sit their and have hope and wait for her to come back to him...its about continuing to have faith in relationships even when there is none to be had....its very realistic to real life...and very depressing ...i love this song though
