The One With the Woes All Over It Lyrics

I guess that hell has been freezing.
And yes there's a fat chance down there.
You gave me one good reason.
Now let me make one thing perfectly clear.

You brought us up to the alter.
I had no business being up there.
I wanted to fail or falter.
I stood like Gibraltar for 7 long years.

One bought a handful of houses.
One was an underground hit.
One sure was hers chorus bridge to the verse.
The one with the woes that were all over it.

I made us a place to be later.
And later came soon after that.
I made out like things could not be greater.
As of a matter of fact they fell flat off the bat.

One bought a handful of houses.
One was an underground hit.
One sure was hers chorus bridge to the verse.
The one with the woes that were all over it.

The one with the woes all over it. (x4)

I take this one pretty literally, "one bought a handful of houses" is about Impression, and maybe "One was an underground hit" is Someday. This is my favorite of the new three.

"alter" should be spelled "altar".

"I wanted to fail or falter" should be (I think) "I wanted to fuss, fail, or falter"
