I think this song means that he knows he'll always have this girl by his side and she'll never change.

Geezus stop fighting about the lyrics. the original ones are right anyway.. who cares if a few words are wrong.. and its about how ever much him and this girl go through and even if it seems like shes changing, shell always be the one he loves.
