I'm not certain because i haven't watched it in ages, but i believe they actually kept the quote intact. Imdb or wikiquote or whatever probably just got it wrong (both being user-submitted after all).
And to clarify it's from V: The Final Battle, which was like a sci-fi miniseries that was so bad it was good.
