The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
Stars in the sky, they will guide you back home
Float as the night forms a path of its own
Follow the lights, they will guide you back home
Path to discovery

Laugh as we run from the world we once knew
Songs we once sung, they will come back to you
Wait for the sun as it comes into view

Just A Little Lovin'

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page

Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
War of the worlds-like alien invasion theory: I think this is part 10 (part 1 being 'intro', part 5 being 'scorpius' and part 7 being 'nine lives')
This song is about surrendering earth to the aliens, but 'recovering' from the loss by 'discovering' another planet to live on.
Stars in the sky they will guide you back home Float as the night forms a path of its own Follow the lights they will guide you back home
About searching space for another planet for humans to live on.
are you guys familiar with the term symbolism? did it ever occur to you that the "theme" was a representation of something else entirely? the entire album..... argue over the cinematic and literary allusions all you want but you have obviously missed the true point. research all great music and you'll find one common denominator and therein lies your answer.
THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL - NOT WAR OF THE WORLDS!!!
Quite a stretch there. The song says nothing about finding another home. In fact, the lyrics say otherwise:
"Stars in the sky they will guide you back home Float as the night forms a path of its own Follow the lights they will guide you back home"
How can stars in the sky guide you back home on an alien world?
This song is about picking up the ashes of a destroyed civilization. It is full of hope.
"Laugh as we run from the world we once knew Songs we once sung they will come back to you Wait for the sun as it comes into view"
This seems to be about the clearing up of the sky from the "hell in the sky" from an earlier song. Maybe this is about nuclear destruction of the planet and how it will eventually recover and we will survive?
The song is about recovering from some sort of addiction.
