You've Made Your Bed (So Sleep In It) Lyrics

I'm so glad that your lipsticks on, back seat of your best friends car, well we were onto something here.
Oh no wait you will call it off and space is on the cards, who'd drink to that, i wont drink to that.
Oh Overhill will you teach me the games that you play so well and i'll drink to that, who'll drink to that?
You've made your bed, so sleep in it, and never call me again.
You've made your bed, so sleep with him, but know i'm the best you'll get.

I wrote this song so you would know
Why i look up to everyone.

Here's a list of the things you said and i wont get over it, you want to know, you, want to know and.
The games that girls will play, makes me move away so i can train, train myself to trust again.
Oh Overhill will you teach me the games you play so well and, i'll drink to that, who'll drink to that?

Are you on or off?
Or

These words will convince you to love again, you want to be friends, i wont do it.
These words will convince you to never sleep with me again, you want to be friends, i can't do it.

Can't believe nobodies commented yet?!? Anyways, this probably isn't correct, but this is my interpretation of the song based on what I have experienced...

"I'm so glad that your lipsticks on, back seat of your best friends car, well we were onto something here." Well, the guys happy that she's wearing her lip stick so he can show everyone what he's got or done with this girl. They were obviously doing good in their relationship.

"Oh no wait you will call it off and space is on the cards, who'd drink to that, i wont drink to that." This is where things start to fall apart. She keeps on calling dates off, generally avoiding him, possibly to be with someone else... he doesn't want this.

"Oh Overhill will you teach me the games that you play so well and i'll drink to that, who'll drink to that?" Not too sure about this part, maybe he wants to know how she has the 'guts' to keep on leaving him waiting, how she manages to do the things she does with a clear concience.

"You've made your bed, so sleep in it, and never call me again. You've made your bed, so sleep with him, but know i'm the best you'll get." Pretty simple, he's saying enough is enough, go do what you like, sleep with him if you want, just know that he'll never put up with what you do to people, and don't come crawling back to me when it all goes wrong.

"I wrote this song so you would know Why i look up to everyone." He's not ashamed of what's happened, so much infact that he's written a song about it to tell everyone what this girl is capable of.

"Here's a list of the things you said and i wont get over it, you want to know, you, want to know." These are all the things she said whilst they were together, all the lies she told him. Stuff like "I love you" and "We'll always be together" amongst other things.

"The games that girls will play, makes me move away so i can train, train myself to trust again." He's worried that all girls are like this, and he just has to take a step back from them all and just take a break, recover from what's happened and sort himself out.

"Are you on or off?" This may be relating back to when she was avoiding him, leaving him puzzled about their relationship.

"These words will convince you to love again, you want to be friends, i wont do it. These words will convince you to never sleep with me again, you want to be friends, i can't do it." Basically, he's telling her to piss off. He's had enough of all of her silly little games, and he's telling her that she's no good and she just hurts people. She wants to be friends, but he cant forgive her for pulling him along and just being horrible to him.

And there we go. Like I said earlier, this is probably not what the guys had in mind when they were writing this amazingly awesome song, but it seems quite relevant to what's happened in my life recently, and thought I'd take a crack at it.

I think it's about being cheated on personally

"You've made your bed, so sleep in it, and never call me again. You've made your bed, so sleep with him, but know i'm the best you'll get."

it implies that she's with this other guy but the guy she cheated on was better than him and she's made a mistake in giving him up.

thats my theory anyway.

I love this song though These guys rock

it's about a guy being cheated upon & saying that he wont have her back. she's made her bed so she can sleep in it... as she isn't coming back.

also reinforces this by saying 'The games that girls will play, makes me move away so i can train, train myself to trust again.' he's lost his trust in girls because he's been cheated on.

Oh my God!! These guys are awesome!!

I read about them in Kerrang! -one of the November issues... The article was pretty good, so I thought I'd check them out and downloaded all the songs I could get- which are all of these on this site.

I hope they come to Australia soon!! They should come over and play at some festvals or come over with a big band or something, and build up a fan base. I reckon they could be pretty big in the non- mainstream scene... Cos once they hit mainstream, they're doomed.

I can't believe they're only like, 17 or so... I'm 16... That's so awesome.

Um, this song- lyrically- kinda reminds me of Panic! At The Disco's "Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off"... I think its about cheating. And that's what Panic!'s song's about... And they sort of slam it in the girl's face, like, " Hey honey, I'm so much better than any guy you'll ever have... I hope you realise how much you've screwed up."

Anyway, great song. I'm really excited for them. I hope they do well. Cos I know I'll be one of those first fans... Ha ha

Oh, and I think maybe "Overhill" could be the girl's last name... maybe?

"Oh Overhill will you teach me the games you play so well..."

Like, he's saying, "You're good at messing me around- you do it to me, I'll do it to you..." you know? Does that make sense?

But yeah... I think Overhill's the girl.

my absolute favourite you me at six song. meanings pretty obvious, the girl cheated and josh is not a happy bunny...this band is amazing, some of the nicest boys i've ever met. max is probably one of the funniest, and josh? he kinda unintentionally provided what's probably the funniest moment of my life.
