when i first listened to this, i was expecting something cheerful and gay. Yet I find the song to be solemn. as if i'm in my wedding, voluntarily making this lifelong commitment to my significant other.. and there's beauty in that.
I find the bass line to be snapshots of the memories of the wedding, from the interpretation of the bride and gloom, now much older. It's really a fascinating, instrumental take on something that's generally considered to be much more intense than this song
When I first heard it, I was just like, well- that's an interesting take on weddings... But if you're sitting in the audience at wedding after wedding it feels a little monotonous and if you're going to a wedding without a date- sad. Mostly the monotony and forced cordiality about weddings is what I think this song represents now.
